Anonymous FTP

Anonymous FTP (Anon FTP) simply means being able to access FTP server without username/password.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol, a fast, application-level TCP/IP protocol widely used for transferring both text-based and binary files to and from remote systems (server/computer/etc), especially over the Internet. Normally proper access (username & password) is required to upload and/or download content from remote systems, however many web hosts offers a feature, which once properly configured will allow users to anonymously log in to the specified sections of the systems. Most anonymous FTP server allow "anonymous" as username and your "e-mail address" as password.
